The shifting pov's are really really really painful but this is where the series starts getting hella interesting and gets you invested...

I love that we get to meet Rowan 🥹 I absolutely hate him in the first half but love him in the second half.

I hate that the book makes Aelin's growth feel like ours and at a point I just give up on sleep to just keep reading.

My favourite is the next book so ...

I cried and cried some more..

Just thinking about the end of this book made me cry
The tiny novellas are worth the read but I would recommend that this book be read first before starting the series and the author's reading order isn't really nice.

I love this series .. just in case it isn't clear

Re-read 2024 ..
Changing my rating from 3 to 4 stars.

I mean now that I'm re-reading it again I see the depth of the story setting and my god's .. it's so intricate, the setting for the other seven books starts here

I've always loved Celeana, she's one of the most badass characters I've ever read and the sarcasm, the strength and the secrets just make it wonderful..

This time I'm re-reading in the author mentioned order. This one, later crown of midnight and then the novella collection Assassin's Blade.

I'm excited!!!

Well it kept me reading the book until the end so that's a good thing

There are some books that just gut the soul right out of you in the form of tears, this was one such book. Yes, the book could have had more character depth but the story, the story is just too .... Real

The survivors of the holocaust, I swear to god anything I read or watch about them makes me feel so so much and this book wasn't less.

This is a powerful book that will make me seek out more books on the holocaust.

The afterword got to me the most...
