Okay, the authors note at the end of this one got me good and a couple of tears squeaked out. I am providing my honest review after receiving an ARC.
This story was wonderful. I laughed out loud at a number of points and had a goofy grin on my face the whole time. I also devoured it in about 4 hours.
Despite being a 3rd person POV, I really fell into this and didn't feel like I was being told what was happening. Dylan uses the most colourful, descriptive language and it really worked to immerse me in Luca and Artair's story. This was cute, cozy and deliciously spicy.
The premise of this book was fantastic. A journalist on a celibacy ban for an article who takes an isolated job, comes across a free-spirited golden retriever of a man who is everything he dreams of. What follows is hilarious flirting, a heck of a lot of surprise nudity and two souls finding their other half, despite not looking for it.
I have been eagerly anticipating the release of this book (it's been on my Want To Read shelf on here for at least 6 months) and the wait was definitely worth it. I can't wait for the second instalment in this series; chonky bakery boys? The dough pounding puns are going to be off the charts!

I picked this book up purely after seeing a post from the author asking if people had read it. I didn't even realise I had ARC read another one of her books until I looked at the list of other books after I finished reading.
This was a cute black cat/sunshine romance, that follows Casey, a human desperate to turn into a vampire, and Dima, a 620 year old vampire who love quilting.
The story is forced proximity, without any of the normal 'fake relationship', 'room-mates to lovers' tropes. I only highlighted one quote, but it's one that resonated with me to my very core:
'when someone hands you a baby, your instinct is to throw it like a wingball.' Absolute mood.
I laughed, I got teary and I absolutely had my heart in my throat for the last 20%.
As I am mostly reading MM at the moment, I'm not sure if I will read the others in the series, but I loved this as a standalone!
