This was a cute take on fake marriage, which definitely is one of my fave tropes. The spice was spicy, and I will always be a sucker for a man in slutty shorts.

I also appreciate the bi-erasure dialogue: as a queer person in a straight-passing relationship, this is a very real scenario for me, and I appreciate seeing these things in books.

I enjoyed this book, but personally found the writing style could jar me out of the story a little: there were a number of analogies that felt a little over the top, and the way some chapters finished left me unsatisfied.

I was also frustrated by the endo storyline. As someone with endo and adeno (endo's nasty cousin) it takes a much bigger chunk of my brain power than I felt was demonstrated here. It felt more like a plot point to progress their relationship, and the ongoing impact on Millie was then not really mentioned again.

Don't mind me, sitting here in my bath crying at these two. What a beautiful story, and such a wholesome relationship.
Any time mental health is involved in a story it hits me deep, because I've been there,multiple times, and I can feel Edin's struggle.
I only highlighted one line in this book, and it's the one that resonated with me 'I struggle easier when you're with me.' As someone who has struggled with my mental health, this line is so validating because I have a select few people in my life who make struggling easier; not just romantic relationships, but strong friendships as well.
Crea has the most incredible universe, where people who are damaged find love, and are loved exactly how they come. There's no desire to change them, just help them find space to feel safe, and for those characters to find their own journey to healing.
