I received an ARC copy and a providing my honest review.

This book was cute. Not the slowest burn I have read, but the sexual tension was *chefs kiss*. I am not a fan of slow burns, purely because I want ALL the dirty details, but this was paced well. You only have to wait until about 50% before the action starts (there is a solo scene earlier, but this is the characters together).

I really loved Bowie. His character had me barking out laughs all over the place. Especially the line 'and my bum is leaking.' He was funny, brash and had a big soft heart underneath it all.

Jamie was frustrating in his rigidity, but this was a character trait that he needed. Although, I feel like he should have had some professional mental health support to help him process/manage his fears. Especially considering how important sports psychology is these days.

But, the way these two helped each other grow was beautiful. I love seeing characters support each other, without actively trying to change each other. They each brought out the best in each other, or they were able to individually identify how their worst was impacting their lives.

I am excited to see the other books in this series: there's definitely going to be a best Friends to lovers/bi awakening, and an enemies to lovers in the series!
