Like a lot of the reviews, this one juuuuust missed the mark that B&B did. Don't get me wrong, Lachlan might be my favourite brother, but it just didn't punch as hard as the first book. Lark was funny and heartbreaking, but I didn't feel as drawn to her as I did to Sloane in the first book. I also felt the angst between Slone and Rowan hit harder.

When Brynne posted some teasers on instagram, I was convinced there was going to be pegging and when we got to the epilogue there was nothing. But then that sneaky chapter Strapped was added at the end. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Except I was slightly worried that Lark dove straight in with no prep. But still, absolutely here for the pegging.

I've read B&B twice and I still can't exactly remember who Harvey is. I felt that his brothers motives weren't super clear cut and I was hoping for more substance about his why. Though, this might come in the third book. If the first two were connected by a murder Rowan and Sloane committed, I'm hoping that the third will be linked to the same thing to give a little more of the back story.

This one was a 4.5 for me.
