What a beautiful book…

I used to call myself the number one hater of second-chance romance, but—like always—I was wrong. I just hadn’t found the right one.

This story isn’t just about romantic love; it’s about love in all its forms—self-love, family love, friendship, and even love for the work you do. It’s raw, emotional, and incredibly real.

I won’t lie—I cried multiple times while reading. But since I’m a crybaby, I won’t use that as the reason you should read this book. Instead, you should read it because it’s beautifully written and genuinely moving.

Now, onto the main couple… They are the definition of soulmates. No matter how many obstacles were thrown in their way, they always found their way back to each other—first as friends, then as something more.

Please, just read it.

It might not change your life, but for the hours you spend with this book, you’ll find yourself believing in love. And if a romance novel doesn’t do that… then what’s the point?

Wow. Just… wow.

I knew I wanted something angsty and heartbreaking, but this book completely wrecked me in the best way possible.

The first 25% had me sobbing—losing Susie was devastating—and the rest had me either holding back tears or fuming because I was suffering just as much as the characters were.

I deeply connected with Emersy’s need to be wanted and loved; her emotions felt so raw and relatable. And Zach? He made me so mad. I understood his pain and conflicting emotions, but his cruelty was frustrating. Instead of facing his grief, he weaponized Emersy’s love for him, and that was hard to watch.

Yet, despite all the heartbreak and mistakes, they felt like two broken soulmates meant to find their way back to each other. And that HEA? So, so worth it.
