Wow. Just wow.

My pre-adolescent years and journey into alternative music was beginning when Kurt was in his tailspin toward his final days but I still learned and loved all thing Nirvana only to be heartbroken by his death shortly after. So to become a Foo Fighters fan was very easy. They have followed me
Into adulthood and become the soundtrack to my life.

So this book was purchased and sat staring at me for months as I worked through my busy season eagerly awaiting the reward of Dave’s words.

I laughed. I cried. I reminisced. Cried some more. And annoyed my husband by reading him parts of it because I was fascinated with the shear amount of dumb luck that was encountered.

I highly recommend reading this if your a 90’s kid. A parent. A creative. Music lover. Looking for an adventure. Like UFOs. Or just need a good read. My only complaint is that it read too quickly - maybe a second book Dave?

So I had to sit with this book after finishing it. I see myself in the main character. The struggle between work life, motherhood, and wanting to have a fulfilling purpose. I wanted to love her story but more than anything I hated every man in this book. I get the feeling we were supposed to have feeing for a few of them… it definitely hit on a lot of misogynistic stereotypes of the times, how poorly women were treated, and really can feel that isn’t hasn’t really changed all too much. The book is great… I think it just may have hit a spot very tender in my own world a little to hard.
