I will never be the same after reading this book. Heartbreaking, gorgeous; a story of love, family, talent, power and will. A story that transcends the ages. One of the most beautiful books I've read this year. I don't think I will ever, truly, be over how beautiful this book was and in a few years I will return to it and still cry at all the pages that made me cry.

For fans of Percy Jackson and The Hunger Games.
A good story but too full of fight scenes for me to fully immerse myself in it. Found myself skim reading a lot towards the end. Sure there were some twists but eh, it wasn't something I'd ever read again.

Man, I thought I had it all figured out in the end but I was WRONG. Well, I was wrong by like one or two counts of association really, because I guessed the family the killer was a part of, so I probably deserve a pat on the back for that. A fantastic book. Not my usual read, but my girlfriend loves it and wanted me to give it a go and I'm very glad I did!

I wasn't into this book in the beginning but then it became one of the sweetest books about mortality and love and friendship and I ended it teary eyed. I am in love with it. As someone who fears the day they die immensely, I'm glad I read this book. Props, Mr Silvera, for a wonderful reading experience. Thank you for giving me this.

The books are probably better than this (I've only read 'The Colour of Magic') but the art is beautiful.

Urban fantasy mixed with weird sci-fi and some equally as weird horror. For those wanting to read these books, I didn't feel confused reading this without having read any of the others before.

It's not something I usually go for, but I'm glad I gave it a go regardless!

A slow start, yes, but did I enjoy it? Also yes. Highly recommended to any self-respecting high fantasy lover, especially those who crave LGBT representation in fantasy that isn't shoehorned in. A beautiful, wonderful, sweeping story of love, destiny, and duty. I crave more from this world!
