the ending is the reason this book needed to be written.
but holy fuck.

Madeline Miller would have did this story a completed justice. a part of this story, its ghastly-ness – the part just taken for granted as "evelyn hugo's story" – isn't entirely given its place on the stand; I don't know how to explain it.

but on the other end, I could undoubtedly draw likeness between a over-sharpened picture and a Madeline Miller novel. so I'm making no concrete statement here.
