this is the man of my dreams. it's like when I see a thing I see the hue of it. and at times I have an expectation of how I want it to be, so and cuz, I know it's the best suited and felt, that way. and the extrapolation of the description of the man in these pages was everything I asked for. what I searched for, in my father. and with days and situations, I learnt with paling shock, sometimes, that that's not what I would get - and I was okay with it. till I learnt that what I wished was inversely different from what I have, on some contexts.
this is spring to me. this is revival of the montage of my childhood and singsonging of my soul. this is everything I thought I would have for granted and now everything that I wish would have been good if were. this is what I hope I'd gotten because I would've appreciated it like not common.
this is also what I am, and what you'll see in me when allowed and not restricted or constrained to be a certain way with you. I guess that's why I expect everyone to behave the same way too, cuz when it's this simple and direct, and when there's nothing else rational; what could anything in anyone bring out- why would anyone feel the need to behave anyother way? I am also the authoress - in no haughty subversion of telling so - in her ability to discern and value all about her father and her family or just anything on this earth. you're childishly ideale like that, Chimamanda, and I childishly admire.
her description of her dealings is also the thing I respect and aspire. the perspective being so nonconvoluted and straight, one emotion at a time and not being lost in the maze of 'em, yet restoring its all elements of virtue, honour and respect, is inspiring. and I think that's why it's possible for her to put what she means into words. I guess that's why I have it too difficult to word anything that I feel. cuz I get lost just in the process of un-convoluting it, even before transcribing it into language.
I am grateful the authoress worded this cuz now it wooshes the walls of my heart the warmest feel. I'm in awe and filled with appreciation in its most innocent form. some of the quotes in this short book that I've highlighted— I mean and want to scream like the bridge of Taylor Swift's my tears ricochet, “you hear my stolen lulla-....”!
oh this is good. this has so many elements I admire and cherish.
