I LOVED this! Not sure why it took me so long to read this, but I’m so glad I did! I enjoyed Schwab’s writing so much; the world building in this was great; the character development was great. It was maybe a bit predictable, but I had such a fun time reading! I felt like the conclusion was nice for the first book in a series; it didn’t end on a massive cliff hanger, but still left maybe a few questions unanswered. With that said, I definitely can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Wow. This was such an incredibly well written book. I cried at least once a chapter. Miller is so strong and inspiring. Even though this was difficult to get through considering the nature of SA, I am so glad I read this!

Wow, this one surprised me! I thought it would be too lighthearted, but then it hit me hard in the feels and had me bawling. Such a great read! Loved the characters! I can’t wait to read the next installment

Such a challenging book to read. It made me extremely uncomfortable at times, but I believe that was Butler’s intentions.

I loved Butler’s take on vampires and wish we could have gotten more stories in this world. The lore was so interesting and unique! I also enjoyed the parallels to real life and social commentary on different issues.

Definitely not a story for everyone, but I enjoyed it and am glad I read it!
