I really enjoyed this book.
Immediately the writing captured me and kept me reading.
I really enjoyed the history aspects of the book as well.
<SPOILER> I don’t know if I fully agree with Addies choice towards the end of the book but i’m glad that it finally gave her a loophole to be remembered, her name and her story will live on thanks to Henry.
Although i wish they were able to end up together, i like that them not ending up together was realistic.
not every story has the happiest ending and I’m glad the author didn’t just give the audience what they wanted. <SPOILER>
I cried toward the end cause the writing was beautifully done.
I will remember this book forever, so beautiful.

I started this book a day ago and i literally could not put it down.
Ace of Spades was honestly the best mystery/ suspenseful book i’ve ever read
It was literally Get Out meets Pretty Little Liars/ Gossip Girl
This book is a chilling thriller that genuinely had me on the edge of my seat for most of the time.
Ace of Spades discussed very important topics like racism, homophobia, classism, etc. (for a full list of trigger warnings on this book please go to www.faridahabikeiyimide.com/ace-of-spades-content-warnings)
Both of the main characters of this book are black and queer, and both of the characters face extreme discrimination and bullying. I really enjoyed reading this, I felt engulfed by the story every time i would pick up the book. I felt like the plot moved at the perfect pace.
I really enjoyed the two separate point of views. I usually don’t enjoy first person point of view, but it works so well for the mystery genre. Being in the main characters’ shoes intensified the confusion and mystery of the story, I felt as if I was right there with the character, attempting to solve the mystery with them.
I would definitely recommend this read to anyone
an instant five star for me
