Good book overall, would get drunk in one chapter playing a game of “drink every time the phrase they said with a laugh was used.”
Very strange development with the lesbian sex scene, that we are supposed to believe two characters who barely spoke suddenly lust for each other spontaneously? Didn’t make sense.
Really enjoyed the ending though!

Good book overall, just a bit disappointed with the ending. It was convoluted and confusing, not really matching the rest of the book. Besides that, really enjoyed it. LOTS of spicy scenes too as a bonus.

Really great read! Loved all of the plot twists at the end for things I did not see coming!

The writing isn’t great, it feels like everything was predictable and the characters were one dimensional stereotypes. There is also some problematic language throughout, for example a character saying someone had a Mexican accent because he was hispanic, amongst other things. I felt like we were supposed to like the main character but she was my least favorite person in the book. She didn’t grow at all and was dismissive and selfish often. The killer only spoke in cliches and was unnecessarily violent, to the point it felt like gore/trauma porn and not details to advance the plot. A lot of the investigation was unrealistic too.

Overall not so bad I stopped reading, but won’t be continuing the series with this main character.
