These stories center around transformation. From the surreal to the painfully familiar, Armfield creates engaging worlds with generally female protagonists. A good weird read.
This series is crazy and imaginative in a way I didn't expect!

The world of post-WWI England isn't one that I thought I would be particularly immersed in. But Waters builds her characters with compassion, flaws, and such humanity that I found myself sucked in. I haven't read such a long book in such a short time since I was tearing through Harry Potter.
The tender, fiery, unpredictable, and sometimes horrific story really makes you want to be a fly on the wall in Frances' house. I really enjoyed the stay.
