i just find her books so easy to consume, i love the historical aspects, i love the characters she writes and i love the way she builds atmosphere
i read mrs england in autumn, the second half of the book, i sat by the window during a storm and it has been the perfect setting
i worked out the main twist myself before the big reveal, i truly enjoyed piecing the mystery together. especially since ruby is an unreliable narrator, you have to pick up on the clues and secrets throughout the story yourself
as with her other books, i feel the pacing gets a lot quicker in the final third but i wouldn't say it seems overly rushed
i just really enjoyed this read! can't wait for her next book honestly, i will keep coming back to her writing!
i unironically enjoyed this read, and i think i genuinely enjoyed it more than the original twilight..
something about edythe, jess and eleanor is soooo much sexier and interesting to me this way (im gay). also! malewife earnest cullen come get your kiss!!!!!
i loved the alternative ending tho it made me deeply sad for charlie
this book is definitely my favourite in the trilogy!!! i read the last two thirds of the book in one sitting, i was hooked
i think the focus on character relationships in greywaren really made me love this, it's why the raven cycle is so well loved but it was a little lacking in books one and two of the dreamer trio
having finished greywaren i just want to go back and reread the original series and this one back to back!
i really enjoy the magic system of this world because it's just fucking bonkers, u really have to roll with the punches because maggie is truly going wild with it..
i cried like a baby after finishing this, and teared up multiple times during.. i just love these guys. maggie makes me adore her characters and i just can't help it!
"again and again they spiraled around and through one another, not ronan-and-adam but rather one entity that held both of them. they were happy and sad, angry and forgiven, they were wanted, they were wanted, they were wanted."
“ronan thought about adam’s gloves set upon his shoes in the mudroom. he thought about wanting to feel like he had been made for something more than dying”
maggie's writing is sooo insane i never have a clue what is happening and if you can cope with that you'll have a great time
the raven cycle is one of my favourite fictional universes and to read this continuation felt painful at times because i wanted ronan pov all the time, especially at first
as the book progressed i cared more for the new characters, except carmen, her chapters dragged for me the whole story
i love how basically nothing happens.. it's just the gentle progression of the relationship between tsukiko and sensei, it's a very awkward and sweet intertwining of two lonely people
i definitely was pretending the age gap was lesser during the story, it's my one and only complaint
