My first book by the author and it was such an amazing read. I’m a big fan of the enemies to lovers trope and this one was done so well with Rajiv and Sheena’s story. From the way they both met each other in the beginning to the moment they started dating, I was rooting for them throughout everything.
Sheena’s such an inspiring character, with her courage and fire and always standing up for what is right. Rajiv’s such a sweetheart too, doing everything in his power to protect the people he loves. The other characters were also so well written and the family and friendship bonds were just chef’s kiss🤌🏼

I can’t wait for Armaan and Navya’s story next!

Really enjoyed the plot and the writing style! The only reason I didn’t give this a solid 5⭐️ is because I didn’t really enjoy the romance part and since I’m a big fan of morally grey characters, I was rooting for Xingyin and Wenzhi(even though he messed up, I’m still hoping for some good character development in the next book).I love the friendship and bond between Xingyin and Liwei though and also how strong and independent Xingyin is! I can’t wait to see what happens next in the sequel!

I really liked the blurb and I decided to read this one because of it but it didn’t really live up to my expectations. It’s not that it isn’t good, it had its moments and the characters were all so real in their own way. One of my favourite thing about this book was the friendship between Melody and Lacey, and I wasn’t a big fan of the MMC at first but I liked the character development. Overall it was an okay read and was quite short so if you’re looking for a fast paced read then you can, maybe, check this out but make sure you’ve read the TWs first before diving into it✨

I’m a simple girl. I see a book with illustrations in it, I read it immediately. I’ve just completed it and my thoughts are all over the place. I’ll probably come back and edit this review again but for now I’m just gonna talk about all the things running through my head right now.

✨Please note that there maybe some spoilers below so you might want to stop reading here✨

This book has such pretty illustrations in it and the writing in this book is so raw and captivating. The illustrations were the first thing I noticed and the blurb was the reason I decided to pick this up. The author talked about addiction, anxiety, depression and many other issues in such a manner that I found myself constantly thinking about them and the way they affect the people who faced these issues.

There were so many parts where I could relate to Alice and Venus and so many instances where I wish I could just give them a hug too. I love the way the book ended, leaving it up to our imaginations to decide Alice’s fate(and Venus too) since anyone who knows Tino, knows what kind of a person he is. The letter that Alice wrote to Bartender made me feel so emotional and since I’m a big fan of HEA, I’m gonna imagine a different ending to it all.

Overall I really enjoyed reading this book and to anyone who wants to pick this up, make sure you check the TWs first. It’s also available on KU for anyone interested✨

This was quite fast paced and I really enjoyed reading it. I hope we get to see more of these characters in book 2!

I haven’t really read many dark academia books but from the ones that I’ve read, this one tops the list!

This was such a feel good read. It made me feel kind of nostalgic since it somehow reminded me of The Authenticity Project by the author. Iona is such an iconic character!
