This book is by far the best Hades and persephone retelling I've ever read (and trust me, there have been plenty)

From the enemies to lovers, aspect to the banter and the marriage to spite the gods. This whole book just screams PERFECTION!

This book not only goes into the feminist point of view to show how strong Persephone is but also how Hades, who is usually perceived as dark and scary, might just be over exaggerated. This book shows how men also need to be allowed to have a softer side. It shows how women need to be allowed to be in powerful roles, and men are also allowed to be gentle and don't need to be strong all the time.

I loved this book not only for its different approach but also for the banter, the witty and perfect combination that is Hades and Persephone. The way they compliment each other with their similarities as well as their differences. How Persephone tries to shield Hades from all that is bad just as much as he tries to shield her and let's not forget about the river Styx who spoke to me on a spiritual level because I too would be really mad I'd no one told me about a secret wine cellar 😂

But with that said, I would just like to say this was an exceptional read and one I would love to keep near to the heart.

I am a sucker for anything related to women solving cases when the odds are all against her!!

This book was exceptionally written and I fell in love with Tiffany. Her character just oozed confidence and her remarks were well said. This book took me on twists and turns that I never would've expected and the ending was well done without feeling rushed at all.

The fact that the book showcased diverse characters and also explained how they were treated in that era shares light on how we as a society still work today and need to work on.

I would highly recommend this book. It started with a bang and ended with a heartwarming turn of events.
