Yeah, perfect single daddy romance right here. I loved Rosie instantly. She stole my heart the moment she first interacted with Emmie and never gave it back.

“I'd rather be one person's shot of Tito's than everyone's cup of tea.”

Emmie was one of those characters who touch your soul because of how good they are. She was so resilient, so brave, and her struggles and pains only made her look at life as an ephemeral thing you have to enjoy. How lonely she felt, how beautiful it was to see her find a family in Maverick and Rosie. And Ryker and Jamie were incredible friends, not only to Mav but also to her.

"That was the first night I jerked off to the image of you burned into my brain."

Maverick, hot single daddy, you say? Grumpy but has a soft spot for his daughter? He is one of the best brothers and friends anyone could ask for?? Sold. He resisted and fought his attraction for Emmie, but he just couldn't. His giving in was the best thing ever. He wanted Emmie to be on the same page, the forever-type-of-thing page. And the way they accepted her brother into the fold was just because he knew she needed it. Your honor, I love him.

"Pretty sure I'm gonna want a lifetime, baby."

And little Rosie stole the show, I fear. I, too, fell in love with her before anyone else. There's just something about kids, when they are so well written like in this book, that melts my heart.

Some honorary mentions to the mouth on that man:

"I've imagined this for months, Emmie. Fucked my hand for two fucking months, thinking about you. I can't wait another minute."

"You're going to feel me for fucking days, Emmie."

Thank you, Valentine and Bella, for this e-arc!

A little insta-lust/love romance I adored!

I don't get how people are not enjoying this...you know it's a novella, instalove/lust fated mates with a werewolf. It's spelled out that it's going to be FAST! I loved them, your honor. A wolf that falls without even talking to her, and a fire witch that sees the man and short-circuits...SITTED AND PAYING ATTENTION. They were great, but the wolf that abandoned his fated vampire mate kinda got my attention too... I'll pray and hope we get at least a hint of them in the rest of the series.

The dedication to writing (what I think are) fake lyrics for songs in this book?? Impressive af.

For some reason it took me like three days to get through it but it was a good novella.

I enjoyed this book a lot. Give me a grumpy single dad and I’m all in!

I liked the found family and the friends in this story, and knowing it's book 4 in an interconnected series makes sense to see them all make appearances in this one.

Bowie was his perfect grumpy self, but seeing him grow closer to Poppy after their ONS and seeing him live and love again was precious. His backstory was the reason for his mean streak, but I liked that Poppy didn’t stand for it, and she had a backbone.

Poppy was pushed towards Bowie by her new friend group and by his daughter, making it impossible for her to say no, but she, with her sunny personality, won him over.

Now I need to go back and read about all the other ‘play book single daddies’ cause they piqued my curiosity and I enjoyed this book a lot!

Thank you to Valentine and Willow for the e-arc!

I felt like this had potential, but it let me down a little.

Grant and Sophia were great in the beginning of the story, had tension, that connection and the beginning of feelings I love to read about, but what I like too is to see when they start a relationship, how they go on dates, how the relationship grows form that first attraction to HEA but in this book, time jumps skipped over that and went directly into ‘now we are having issues’? Noooo! Give me the simple moments, let me make a connection with the characters and their easy love now that they are in a routine together!

At moments, it felt like the spice was more important than the romance (and I'm saying this as an avid lover of spice in a book, but there needs to be balance).

Also, Hazel felt like an adult speaking at times, in no way should a child be your relationship therapist.

This sadly fell a little flat for me.

The fake dating, the alphabet dates, and the relationship between Sophie and Foster!
It made me giggle and fall in love with both of them! And the cat, of course.

Foster was hands down swoon worthy, tall, handsome, good with kids, kind, patient, his tattoos, baking, and a cat. You get it right? You can see why Sophie and I are in love with this man, RIGHT?
The tension between them was perfect, as was how they both put their all into those dates, the banter, and their little inside jokes. I just loved it.

Sophie was a character that made my heart feel tight. She had been through such tough stuff and getting into this fun ‘fake dating’ and dates mess with Foster really felt like the light at the end of the tunnel. She deserves the world and I was so happy for her throughout the book.
I will definitely be back to read the first two, because if they are anything like this one, I know I’ll love it.

"I wish I had the ability to protect you from the pain,"

Cassia is, was, and will forever be a badass. The way she was so scared, but still was brave enough to fight for her and her sister. How even when the worst happened, she still found it in herself to keep going, to fight back, and not give up.

"One day soon, I want you to sit on my face so I can make you come with my mouth."
"Only if you choke me with your cock."

Lincoln...This man was unintentionally funny. “I need to learn how to lie.” He was also into Cassia from day one. Seeing both of them open up to each other, shut their past, their grief, and their vulnerabilities was beautiful. Also, besides being extremely hot, protective, and caring, he has money and only wants to spend it on her; he’s a total catch.

“I want you, Lincoln," I admit, "Every single broken piece.”

This had the perfect blend of plot and spice, with a hint of angst and a little heartbreak for both MCs. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and I can't wait for Santiago's next!

Thank you, Candi and Michelle, for the e-arc!

That bonus scene is going to be hot!

“It's because you were meant to be mine, Emily. You were made for me."

Wolf is intense and tries to fight his attraction for Emily, but he just can't help himself, especially after that shower...He was bound to fall the second they met, he just took a little longer to get there (three days lol).

"Such a good girl for me, letting me kiss your gorgeous little pussy like this.”

Emily was sweet and a little shy, but she knew what she wanted. She never thought Wolf would want her back, but the moment they kissed and she realized he did, she was all in. He put all her doubts about her job and living arrangements to rest and made it so she would never have to leave him.

I wanted a little more tension, more teasing interactions between them before they gave in, but it was a great book nonetheless!

This series is super incredible, and I need more of these players!!

“I'm man enough to admit I needed a good night of cuddling with my best friend. That's not weird or anything.”

This book was so sweet.

Austin made me feel sad and happy at the same time. Sad because his life in the small town he lived it was never going to be as good as it could outside of it. And his unrequited love was painful. But so so happy that he was a little selfish and decided to take his own route, to go to a college that was open and not set in the old ages. Happy that he had the courage to be himself, to confess his feelings and to try to get over what he thought could never be.
I understood him being scared when things started to move forward with Vaughan but his fear was getting in the way of their relationship and he was letting it.

“That's what this feels like right now—a claiming.
He's mine.”

Vaughan was the goldenest puppy ever. He was clueless, in love with his friend without realizing and just going with what was expected of him in that small town, never truly considering other options. But once Austin took distance he started to realize his life was only ever that good because his happiness came from spending time with him. Him falling hard once he accepted his attraction was endearing and hot.

“Total and absolute trust.
This is what I always thought love was.
No doubts. When it comes to him, I know he's my person, the one I can always go to. He's the love of my life.”

The transition from friends to lovers was so easy and meant to be. It was so funny that Vaughan was even thinking “wish I pulled my head out of my ass sooner”. But what hit me the hardest was the way their families reacted. Like how much more love and support can they have for their kids? It’s amazing to read and it made my chest tight with emotion.
