I love the themes and the prose is beautiful but oh my god it just went on forever sometimes (probably the translations fault)

Super dark and twisted but also very well written.

The beginning of this book had me hooked until the story derailed and was never properly resolved. It was predictable but regardless I loved the vibes. Amish homesteaders gone rogue 😍

This book was so clever compared to the other books in the series. Everything seemed very intentional and it was a very touching story. I still think it lacked a little bit of character depth though. Also, the author was weirdly obsessed with a damsel in distress trope for some reason

I loved the storytelling and enjoyed reading the book overall but this felt less magical than the last books world-building. I didn't care for the characters' connections so the sacrifices throughout the book didn't come off as emotional. Also, the foreshadowing was so bad the plot twist was not surprising at all. The author was weirdly censored throughout this book and I couldn't help laughing at how she portrayed insults and kissing.
