I can totally see Attached At The Hip being a real-life reality show and I would watch every single second of it!

Orie Lennox is so relatable. Her journey from feeling stuck in her everyday life to taking a bold leap into the unknown is both inspiring and entertaining! The setting —a remote island in Fuji with no modern conveniences— adds a thrilling edge to the story, making each challenge and romantic encounter even more intense.

We are thrown into the dynamic of Orie and Remy right off the rip. Remy is Orie’s missed connection from high school and she has a second chance! Their chemistry is palpable and the tension of rekindling old feelings amidst the chaos of the competition will keep you hooked. Especially when Christine throws that massive curve ball at us!
Each character is written so well it makes you feel like you’re really watching them compete on your tv!

The narrator does a fantastic job bringing the characters to life, capturing the humor, heartache, and hope that permeates Christine Riccio’s writing. The pacing is perfect, and I found myself eagerly awaiting each new twist and turn that was throw at us!

Thank you NetGalley, Christine Riccio, and Macmillan Audio for this ALC of Attached At The Hip.

Savor It by Tarah DeWitt is a binge worthy book that captures the essence of summer with its heartwarming romance, endearing characters, and the charming small-town vibe of Spunes, Oregon. From the moment the audiobook begins, you are transported to a world where emotions run deep, the community is close-knit, and love has the power to heal and transform.

Sage Byrd is an absolutely perfect character, navigating the ups and downs of life with a refreshing blend of strength and vulnerability. Her journey from heartbreak to self-rediscovery is beautifully narrated, making her someone you root for every step of the way. Fisher Lange, with his brooding demeanor and hidden layers, complements Sage perfectly. Their chemistry is palpable and builds naturally, providing a mix of steamy romance and genuine emotional connection.

The setting of Spunes adds an extra layer of charm to the story. It’s the perfect small town. It's a place where everyone knows everyone, and the annual Festival of Spunes becomes more than just a backdrop—it’s a pivotal element that brings the characters together in unexpected and delightful ways. The competition and the town's quirky traditions are woven seamlessly into the narrative, enhancing the sense of community and belonging.

Narration in the audiobook is top-notch, bringing the characters and their emotions to life with a perfect blend of warmth and intensity. The pacing is just right, keeping you engaged without rushing through the pivotal moments that make the story so special.

Tarah DeWitt’s writing is witty, heartfelt, and sprinkled with moments of humor that lighten the mood while never detracting from the deeper themes of loss, healing, and love. The way she handles Fisher’s grief and Sage’s need for a fresh start is both sensitive and realistic, making their growth individually and as a couple incredibly satisfying.

"Savor It" is more than just a summer romcom—it’s a story about finding yourself, embracing change, and savoring the moments that truly matter. It’s filled with Big Feelings, spicy encounters, and a wonderful message about the power of love and community. If you're looking for an audiobook that will make you laugh, cry, and fall in love, this is it. Highly recommended!

Our Thriller Queen Freida has done it again. She has given us another novel full of twists and turns.

This time we are 11 years down the road, Millie & Enzo have moved to Long Island (ON Long Island if you need corrected), with their 2 beautiful children, hoping to leave the past far far behind them. They move into a huge house compared to their tiny apartment in the Bronx and begin to live their new life, But little do they know the secrets that this house has in store for them and remember, nosy neighbors are always watching.

In this book we are met with several different story-lines and Freida has intertwined them so perfectly. The twists and turns we are presented with will have you turning the pages faster and faster. Just when you think you have it figured out, in true Freida fashion, she throws in another curve that will leave you reeling.

I love that this book is a perfect exploration of the idea the seemingly perfect neighborhood can harbor hidden dangers adds a layer of psychological depth that elevates this thriller above the rest.

I am a huge Freida McFadden fan & read every books she puts out. I absolutely love that she gives us 5 star book after 5 star book while still working a full time job as a doctor specializing in brain injury. I truly think her background gives her the perfect space to create these amazing books.

Thank you NetGalley, Freida McFadden, & Poisoned Pen Press for this ARC of The Housemaid is Watching. I cannot wait for Freida’s next book!

I could not get enough of this book!! It is a whirlwind of emotions & longing, filled with chemistry that’s off the charts! From the first page, I was hooked by the irresistible tension between Ford and Rosie💖🔥

Ford, the world’s hottest billionaire😏 is more than just a pretty face-he’s dealing with a surprise twist that would throw anyone’s life into chaos: fatherhood.
Yet amidst the turmoil, he finds himself irresistibly drawn to Rosie, his best friend’s little sister.
The dynamic between Ford and Rosie is intense and captivating. Their banter is witty and sharp, it literally had me giggling to myself! This created a delicious slow-burn romance that had me eagerly turning the pages. Ford’s gruff exterior hides a heart of gold, and Rosie’s spirited personality adds the perfect balance to his serious nature. The way they challenge each other, yet bring out the best in one another, makes for an engaging and addictive read.

As you read the book, the characters have been crafted so well that they feel real and relatable, with their flaws and struggles. The storyline is engaging and full of surprises, keeping me guessing and invested in their journey. The added element of Ford’s sudden fatherhood brings depth and heart to the story, reminding us that family can be found in unexpected places & bloom💖

If you’re looking for a romance that is as sweet as it is steamy, with a good dose of humor and heartfelt moments, Wild Love is the book for you. The small-town setting adds charm, and the supporting characters add to the story’s rich texture. I couldn’t get enough of Ford and Rosie, and I’m already looking forward to revisiting Rose Hill. This is a must-read for any romance lover!

🎂🎂🎂🎂🍰 (4.5 cakes😉) I am in love with Klein & Paisley🩵 he is seriously a swoon worthy fake boyfriend! You can tell they have chemistry from the start, but will they act on the chemistry? I really enjoyed Paisley’s journey to finding and loving herself again. It’s time for her to stop being the floor. She is strong, sassy as can be, and witty! Klein fits perfectly with her. He is gorgeous, has a smart mouth, and is head over heels for Paisley! Their love story blossoms on the pages and gives you that slow burn tension. It was such a beautiful read & I am so grateful that I was able to receive an ARC!

Never Trust A Stranger.

Holy Moly PLOT TWIST! I did not see that coming. I thought I knew who the killer was several times…. Nope. I was wrong! So wrong!

"The Stranger" is an absolute rollercoaster of suspense and thrills that will keep you guessing until the very end. The setting—a remote motel during a snowstorm—perfectly captures the sense of isolation and danger. From the moment Tibby and Walker are stranded together, you can feel the tension building.

The characters are wonderfully complex, with each one harboring their own secrets. This creates a dynamic and unpredictable storyline, making it impossible to predict who can be trusted and who is a threat. The twists and turns are expertly crafted, leading to jaw-dropping revelations that leave you reeling.

The writing is atmospheric and immersive, plunging you into the freezing, snow-laden landscape and the eerie, shadowy corridors of the motel. The author masterfully balances the unfolding mystery with chilling horror elements, creating an adrenaline-pumping experience.

The pacing is perfect, with just the right amount of buildup and climax, keeping you on the edge of your seat without a moment of dullness. The ending is explosive and satisfying, tying together all the intricate threads.

If you're a fan of psychological thrillers and horror, "The Stranger" is a must-read. Its gripping narrative, intense atmosphere, and well-drawn characters make it a five-star book that you'll struggle to put down. Prepare for a sleepless night—this one will haunt you long after you've turned the final page.

3.0

"Blood in the Cut" by Alejandro Nodarse presents an engaging mix of personal drama and tense suspense set against the gritty backdrop of Miami's streets and swamps. The protagonist, Iggy Guerra, is a compelling character, and his struggles to reclaim his family's honor and save their butcher shop make for a captivating story. Nodarse skillfully weaves the themes of loyalty, redemption, and the weight of familial obligations throughout the narrative, creating a rich atmosphere that is both visceral and atmospheric.

However, the plot's pacing feels uneven at times, with some scenes dragging on while others rush through critical developments. The antagonists, though colorful, can come across as stereotypical, which detracts from the authenticity of the setting. Additionally, the secondary characters sometimes lack depth, making it difficult to invest in their stories.

Overall, "Blood in the Cut" is a solid read with a unique setting and some powerful moments. While it doesn't always hit the mark, it's an interesting exploration of family, trust, and the lengths one will go to protect those they love. A three-star rating reflects its intriguing premise and engaging lead character, despite some shortcomings in execution.

3.5 out of 5 stars

The first quarter to half of the audio was hard for me to follow and I think that solely has to do with how many point of views are portrayed. The narrator did a fantastic job with this book. There were just a lot of POVs to keep track of.

Once the story started heating up, it kept me hooked! The plot of the book was very good and there was a good amount of suspense.

I received a copy of the physical book in the mail from Celadon & I will reading it again. I believe that I will be able to understand more of the first half of the book if I can flip back pages, make notes and annotate as I’m reading.

Thank you Celadon Books, Macmillan Audio, Peter Nichols, and NetGalley for this ALC of Granite Harbor.
