Definitely kept me guessing until the end! Stella's job is fascinating, and I'd like to think it is a legit, oft-used position. The Barclay family is stereotypical, which makes the story even more interesting. The idea of manipulation throughout the story gives you a lot to think about.

I liked this sequel way more than the first book. Things don't come quite so easily to Quell. Both she & Jordan have to open their eyes and accept the truth of the Order. Fascinating cliff-hanger with new roles and one hell of a conundrum. Can't wait to see what happens next!

I only read four chapters, and all I can say is that it is a fantastic return to Marsyas Island. I forgot how much I love Lucy and Chauncy. A little older, but still so very endearing. I laughed. I got teary-eyed. I fell in love all over again and cannot wait to read the rest!

Decent sequel. Definitely room for a third book. Graphic sex scenes includes erotic asphyxiation and forms of SM to show how "evil" Grey is. A lot of hand-wringing by Willow with not a lot of plot as Willow spends most of the novel trying to figure out what she wants and who she can trust.

I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did. They story pulled me into Willow's revenge plot, and I really loved Gray's evilness. The ending took me by surprise as well. Not as spicy as I expected. In all, I want more.

Fun, escapist, and sexy. Lachlan is the epitome of a Fae prince. Cate is every bit his equal in determination and bravery. It ended on a decent cliffhanger that makes me excited for the sequel.

Not so much a horror story as a sad, almost tragic, story about a kid with hopes and dreams to turn out to be just dreams. He's just a kid
who ends up being a serial killer who doesn't want to kill and who mourns what he did, and the hurt he caused his loved ones. It actually hurts to read at times because Tolly isn't evil. I loved it.

As a sequel, there is less of the Pimpernel's sleight of hand and more of Eleanor's stepping out of the confines of her role as maid. There is more philosophy as the story explores the ideology of the French Revolution and the League's involvement. With its cliffhanger ending, I still want more, as I'm curious to find out how Eleanor reacts to her new findings and the philosophical aspect of everything.

Theft and murder mystery with Slavic folklore as the backdrop. Kosara is a fun character. She is generous, knowledgeable, savvy in the ways of her world, and carrying a lot of guilt. Good, quiet chemistry with others. Definitely want more of this world and these characters.

Marlow is such a cute MC. The mystery is decent and totally expected from Ms. Johnson, Good cast. Atmospheric and entertaining.  The entire story kept my attention. In some regards, Marlowe is much more enjoyable than Ms. Johnson's Stevie Bell.
