It's not possible for me to rate this book because I just cannot decide if I liked it or not. Parts of it were interesting, gripping even, but there were few things that simply offended me (In the foreword for example, Prof. Edward calls homosexuality a "perversion" and a "moral degeneration").
In the initial chapters you can feel hate oozing out of the book. It's difficult to believe that hate could build to such an explosive degree over trivial matters. In the later chapters, these hardened criminals, full of hatred, who don't think twice before executing the cruelest of crimes instantly transform because a pastor tells them that "Jesus loves them" (Ok, I am thinking this is NOT blasphemy and I definitely don't want to be struck by lightening)
Lots of crying over gospels and miracles of Lord Jesus (again, not blasphemy, nor am I scoffing at it). So, basically it comes down to this - if you aren't a devout Christian, this one's not for you.
P.S: Am not against the religion or putting it down, this is my opinion of the book. That is all.
