Motherwit is a collection of short stories by Urmila Pawar, the Dalit Feminist literary maestro of Maharashtrian literature scene. However, the poor, functional translation by Veena Deo fails to impress upon you the prowess of Pawar's writing. As much as I wanted to enjoy this book, I simply could not.
