i love jamie loftus' writing and i grew up with a dad obsessed with being half German so i've had a few hot dogs. i'm vegan now, and i still look at vegan hot dogs as a safe nostalgic food. i enjoyed listening to the book quite a bit, im maybe just too vegan to fully be the target audience. and not american enough.
