Added to the list of Books That Changed My Life!
Inspired by the shift, both personal and universal, experienced during and post-pandemic. A beautifully illustrated and stunningly written collection of poetry. I may just have to purchase this one to add to my shelves, because I found myself connecting with so many of the poems.
I would recommend this for anyone who wants to challenge their mindset to cultivate more presence, patience, and gratitude. Forgive yourself, and live life. It’s truly a precious gift that can pass you by otherwise.
To the author, thank you for your vulnerability and light poured into this book.

This was the first manga I have ever read, and it was such a lovely and interesting introduction to the genre! I found myself tearing up at some scenes and laughing out loud at many others. The illustrations are crisp and beautiful. I loved the expressive nature of the characters’ faces.
As far as the plot, I felt it was the perfect balance of sending a message while also keeping the story lighthearted and fun. The Boys Bar is a hoot. I love the way the drinks look so tasty—like you can actually just taste them right off the page. I wish I could!
My husband was reading over my shoulder when I finished this book, and he even enjoyed it without having read the first 3/4 of the book. I can’t wait to read the next in the series. Sincere thank you for allowing me to read an advanced read copy; receiving an ARC did not influence my review in any way.

This is such gorgeous illustration and visual story telling! I loved how the story came full circle, much as the seasons do. Beautiful vivid color throughout, with meaningful use of light and shadow. Just a real treat of a book with a strong theme of perseverance, rest, and community.

This was a reread—my best friend in college actually lent this to me back in 2017, and it was one of the first poetry books that I had read. This sparked a lifelong love and fascination with poetry and encouraged me to write for myself. It also opened my eyes to very raw and painful hurt that others experience in ways I had not, myself, at that time experienced. I love the sisterhood and the youth you find in these pages. Rereading now, some 8 years later, it is interesting to see the young Rupi mindset through my current lens. That’s a beautiful thing about literature—it evolves as we do. Our interpretation shifts and makes room for new perspectives and new connections.

I didn’t expect for this to be a book that would change my life, but boy, was I in for a spiritual—hehe—journey with this one!
Truly a story that reaches across generations, with strong themes of living life to its fullest while it is to be lived! Also great encouragement to express oneself freely and trust in oneself. I purchased this after reading a library copy, because it was that good.
