Ehh it was okay. I don't mind push and pull in the romance but it was too much to the point it was annoying. I was also hoping the FMC would be more of a badass and enter her villain era, buttttt it didn't happen which sucked.

This book is more philosophical/psychological thriller romance but done in an okay way..... I don't even really know what happened just that the case closed and they got their HEA/HFN situation

I honestly wished the book was longer. Gimme more spice. BUUTT we did get another small story with some knotting, which I fucking ate that shit up so quickly. I'm also getting context that fated mates aren't super rare, just definitely uncommon

This book is like Throne of Glass if Calena wasn't a good assassin and if there weren't any high stakes. It was a very very VERY slow pacing, and a lot repeated use of vocabulary.

I also would not like to see a spicy scene containing: plow, rut, and using the term for the man bits as rod..... I felt very.......odd by that.

If this book was more in depth with is story and connections between characters, the rating would have been slightly better.

In layman's words; it was like a guy trying to find the clit, never fully there. Or just when its about to hit its mark, they miss it lol
