This was a fun little book. At first, it seems like the stories aren't connected, but you slowly see the threads tying them together. I really liked how each character changed over the course of the story in very subtle ways.

I enjoyed getting to learn more about WWII as it effected Casablanca. I liked the idea of finding a hidden diary. I pretty much hated the ending, for both storylines.

Wow, what a tale. Ariel Lawhon has an incredible knack for making her characters leap off of a page, and Martha Ballard was basically a living being throughout. I loved the story (hated the descriptions of the rape) and yelled at the villains out loud multiple times. Fantastic story and storytelling!

A cute prequel to Legends and Lattes. It was fun to see Viv as a young, upstart adventurer, annoyed to be stuck in a sleepy little town. I enjoyed the characters and thought it was a fun story.

I really enjoyed this book! I loved the mystery of what it was that Dot was hiding, and then the subsequent search for clues in her mansion. I also really enjoyed the romance. Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes, and this was also a lovely slow burn. What I wasn't expecting was how much the narrative went into Wes' mother's emotional and verbal abuse. It was heart-breaking. Great read!

I enjoyed this! It was a cute story, and I liked the characters. I will say...I enjoyed the movie more, but I still liked this.

This was an interesting look into the lives of women in the hill country of the Appalachian Mountains. I learned a lot about the way of life there, as well as the hardships that women in particular face in this part of the US.

This was a fun little historical mystery. I enjoyed the mystery, and the setting. The spiritualism parts were interesting. I never thought I'd say this, but I could have done without the romance in this one. It didn't feel like it really added anything to the story.
