Like a rom com with an old skool Harlequin Presents stuffed into it. Bones of a good story but just not pulled off very well. Characters and relationships are toxic and there was no believable basis for the main couple to love each other so desperately.

I enjoyed this funny, almost no-angst story up to the point the author felt she had to throw a conflict in and did it in a very clumsy way.
The heroine sends the hero a naked text, and then discovers it has been forwarded "all around school," though luckily only her very nice ex can identify her. We later learn that the shot was only waist up. We're seriously supposed to believe that a random boob shot no one can identify would be making the rounds in a college and have "everyone talking about it?" And the behavior of the villain was just over the top mustache-twirling and then in a later book he somehow gets redeemed?

Also, the snark does get repetitious. I'll probably read the next book in this series, but wait so I don't get too bored by the style.

The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren

Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.
Major pet peeves for me: a sad-sack heroine who's a martyr to selfish family. She claims her main priorities are her child and her grandparents, then gives money she needs and will never see again to her mother for an obvious pyramid scheme. Grow some boundaries!
