I really enjoyed this story of Julie finding out more of her past and reconnecting with her father. I loved the illustrations which really brought the story to life. The only thing that let me down was how short it is! I felt ready to join Julie on her quests further, and then it ended. I do hope we get more volumes going forward. Definitely a good read.

I’ve never felt hungrier reading through a cookbook! The different recipes and ideas are reasonable and doable at home, and designed to recreate the beautiful and delicious looking meals from your favourite anime. I love that each meal has the show, season, and episode noted down so you can refer back to where you’ve seen the recipe. The artwork is also in the art style of an anime which is a really nice touch! Can’t wait to actually have a physical copy of this so I can work through the recipes to make at home. A must buy for any anime fan.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story telling if this graphic novel. Ray does a great job detailing life as a young gymnast, new friendships, and how disability can impact those around them. I loved the use of ASL throughout the story and how the people around Riley made an effort to be able to communicate with her. For a story set in the 90’s, I love that this was the mindset for the characters around her, especially when this can still be something people won’t do even now.

This is a wonderful tale of friendship and being there for the people you care about when they need you most.

This cute cast of animals show the relatable aspects of life that many of us experience and go through. Each little comic offers humour and a reflection on what we go through as individuals and with those we care about. I love these compilations of little comics and really enjoyed this one!

I really enjoyed this comic based around the satanic panic of the 80’s and it’s following into the modern day. I found myself wanting more and more as I turned each page. The artwork really brings the story to life and the dual timelines brings the past into the present at the right times to continue moving the plot. With just the right twists and turns, this thriller comic will keep you on your toes wondering what’s coming next.

Finally got to read the first book in this series after loving book 3! This really helped set up the storyline well while also not feeling like I had missed heaps by starting with book 3. Wednesday is such a loveable character with big ideas and a wonderful support network around her that let’s her make mistakes and grow from them. This is such a wonderful novel for young folks to read to get to explore natural consequences and learn more about business. Bree does a great job at explaining big business words too from the perspective of Wednesday. Can’t recommend this series enough.

I can’t wait to read book 2!
