Eh. I appreciate what this book was trying to do, but it was overall boring and a bit slow and convoluted at times.

I also felt like this book wasn't really horror. Nothing happens that I would consider scary until the last third, and what happens is more of a lame attempt to be scary.

Eh. This book was pretty boring. I didn't like any of the characters, who were all very cliche and uninteresting, and didn't find it very funny. I think the worst part about it is the unrealistic portrayal of internet virality, though. I get the whole thing is supposed to be ridiculous, but you expect me to believe a video of bunch of dickheads fucking around in the woods "discovering" a cryptid would go viral in less then two days, let alone eventually get ten billion views? Be for real. People are stupid, but not stupid enough to make something as obviously fake as that go viral. Also, the internet moves fast with stuff like that, everyone would forget about that whole thing in a month.
