As a practicing witch, this is the first book I’ve read with pretty accurate witchcraft related terminology (ignoring a few newage shi like “kitchen witch” or “white spell”). Pacing was a bit slow for me but overall it was a cozy and cute read.
Cute story. If you like the explicit language and pure hardcore lust. Because the “cute and sweet” is only in the last 4 pages of the book.
A classic Tessa Bailey with jumping into a language that’s bordering on vulgar so early in the story, that you cringe so hard and get a headache. Like you’re barely into the story and expecting butterflies and deep longing stares but the MMC’s already saying things like “her c***” and etc…
This book was sooooo tense and so fast paced I LOVED IT! Yes you figure Carly is Scarlet pretty quickly but still, it was feet-kicking, jumping-on-the-couch and staying-up-all-night tense for me!
