Philosophy in the Boudoir: Or, the Immoral Mentors by Marquis de Sade

The Marquis de Sade's philosophy is at the very least interesting and in my opinion he sits as one of the proto-existentialists which is a title I think is actually quite impressive. That being said, his libertine philosophy could go without the morally decrepit depictions of sexual degeneracy. The story here is not good: it literally consists of characters doing evil sexual acts with a 15yr old girl as they try and "convert" her to the life of a libertine. The philosophy Sade discusses? Quite interesting. Some of his talking points are a bit contrived and border on ineffective, but there's still flashes of a cohesive, interesting, yet (hopefully to everyone) unconvincing.
