The MCR chapter literally JUMPSCARED me I was not expecting it. Multiple parts of this book made me very very emotional. Especially the chapter on Against Me! and the epilogue.

The focus on romance detracts from the rest of the book.

This book reminded me to reach out to my older sibling, who I haven’t spoken to in several months. Can’t recommend enough.

Solidly middling. In term’s of Gerard Way’s writing, this is some of the best, but he draws far too much inspiration from Grant Morrison and has none of their debatable ability to make that narrative confusion compelling. So what I’m saying is that that’s a low bar.

The issue that Cloonan co-wrote is incredibly cringey, though. It was more Danger Days reference than actual plot, and the Danger Days comics weren’t even good.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
Brave New World is incredibly racist, especially towards Indigenous American people. I got halfway through the book before I simply gave up on it. Thoroughly unenjoyable.
