I must say that when I started reading this book, I didn't have much hope for it. Since it was written by Stephanie Meyer,the infamous author of the atrocity called the twilight saga, I was pretty sure this was going to be shit as well. Also, I was a bit preoccupied by the length of the book ad thought I might not be able to finish it. In the end, I was absolutely wrong. This book is awesome! Both Wanda and Melanie are likable and are in no way like the annoying Bella Swan. They're both strong and independent, even though they love people. The story is really romantic but not in a sappy and cheesy way like in Twilight. The story gets a little slow at times but it doesn't matter because it picks up it's pace soon after. The characters are great and I really liked how the story is set. I thought the ending was great; it gave closure but at the same time allowed for the reader to picture what happens next. I wish people would know that despite the author previous work, this book it's actually pretty great! Stephanie Meyer should have wrote this first; her reputation would have been absolutely different. Can't wait for the movie!
