Holyyyy. F*ckballs! I have so much to say about this book, so buckle up…

The chemistry between Garrett and Jennie was something else. But the fact they found themselves being best friends first and foremost was what made this book so special. This is literally the meaning of friends to lovers

This was my first read from this author, after debating whether I’d enjoy it or not for some time. I was in the mood for a quick and easy small town romance, which this book definitely delivered!

Blair and Griffin (is every man from a small town romance called Griffin?) were our MC’s, who met, when Blair basically crashed into town. Blair was actually very funny, with her sarcastic sense of humour at times, it was just a shame we didn’t see more. Griffin was mehhh and I felt like his justification for being a bit of a douche was dropped in the story very abruptly and late in the game. Overall, I could not feel the connection and I cringed a lot during their bedroom scenes

This was a debut novel by Chelsea and it was such a fun, quick spicy read.

This had a lot going on, but the main tropes were enemies to lovers and fake dating. Jo, was our ambitious FMC and Jack, our resident grump. I enjoyed their back and forth banter and they really demonstrated the whole enemy aspect well

I finished the second book of this series at the end of last year and I’m glad I’ve finally got around to reading this book! I was hooked from the first page and would have easily read this in a day, if annoying adult responsibilities didn’t get in the way.

Please look up trigger warnings before reading this book.

There was definitely a big shift in character development throughout and the amount of

This is by far my favourite of the series so far!! I am sure sucker for second chances romances.

Talia was a really strong character but it was so sad to see her internally struggle with her own character, emotions and career. Foster was straight to the point and a man on a mission, I can understand why people didn’t necessarily like his character but I really loved him. He was so supportive of Talia, but I was glad she made him sweat a little before taking him back.

This was such an interesting take on second chance and the reasons behind Talia and Foster’s separation is pretty unique but heartbreaking.

I felt like the spice went up a notch in this book, the ring scene

Another brilliant book from Lyssa! This series - yet only two books in - is honestly so addictive! I am laughing throughout, yet both books have covered important topics in a realistic way. Ain’t no time for Randy the Rooster energy
