It's fun, but it's also predictable. I think books 1&2 were superior, but this was still entertaining and unserious. I am interested to see how the author will evolve after this series is completed.

This will be a Roman empire series for me. The story explores the emotional scars our FMC has from abandonment and being of the servant class. Her found family and first love see her value clearly and closely stick by her side as she learns to love herself by challenging her internal voice with solving crimes and helping others.
