Every time I read a book in this series, I think that it is the best one yet. Here we are with a new book and it is the best one yet. There is always so much going on in each book! In this one Ms. Silvertale takes on a serious topic, Erick makes an announcement, Mitzi gains a skill, and a trip is being planned. Oh yes, there is a murder to be solved too. Also, two words ... Roller Derby! All of this is written so well that you are flying through pages. Before you know it the story has come to an end and you are in desperate need of the next book.

Appalachian Book of Definitions, Euphemisms and Sayings: The ORIGINAL by Benjamin Jones

This is a very short book. If you are looking for words or sayings that were/are used in Southeast Kentucky, this book does that. I was reading a heavy topic book and needed something to give me a moment to breathe (and took me home). I listened to this and I knew every word (I still use them). I had heard the sayings as a child. It did what I wanted it to do. It lost a star because it uses virtual voice and that does take away from the experience. There is no voice like an Appalachian voice.
