First discovered this book series from the author’s YT channel. The series keeps getting better, I preferred this third instalment over the second book, They Whisper. Loved the settings, with more backstory and lots more action, plus faster paced. This series is well worth a read!

I didn’t know what to expect coming into this and had not heard of the author before, but was presently surprised. A really good thriller about a disgraced  former detective who must hunt down a serial killer based his murders on an old fairground legend. With a great twist ending.

A good conclusion to the Kill River trilogy, another nice nostalgic 80s slasher in novel form. I look forward to reading more of this authors books.

I discovered this book by really enjoying the author’s true crime YouTube channel. This book was worth reading once, however, facts and details are repeated over and over to the point of frustration.

Another good 80s-style slasher read, I did however prefer the first book and found this one a little slow paced. But on to the third book.

An excellent 80s slasher. Love the setting, it really fits with a slasher. Just reads a little like a YA but and an enjoyable read.

An excellent sequel to the brilliant They Stay which continues on from the last book, following the same four protagonists. With a cliffhanger leaving you wanting the next book in the series.

This book is hard to recommend but also hard not to. It very much leaves you conflicted. On the one hand, I do think there is a good chance he committed many crimes in this book, maybe 50% or so and that alone is fascinating. He may even be the Zodiac. But the author seems to go right off the rails and finds ways to pin basically every crime in America between about 1940-2009 on him using in many cases little logic and simple coincidences, despite being a former police detective and therefore should know better. However, I recommend you read the book as there is something to many cases, so I recommend reading so you can make up your own mind about which ones.

Very good, I was not sure what to expect before reading it, but I was presently surprised. I was a good read that is not a cookie-cutter ghost story by any means. Very unique and worthwhile read and I am already reading the second book in the series.

An excellent book or short horror stories and all set around sleep and nightmare etc. So the perfect choice for a late-night read as you lay in bed before going to sleep yourself. It is very easy reading so that also makes it a great option for late-night reading.
