• Mason Denver how did you find my diary 🤨
• The story takes place over 9 days but the romance felt well developed even in such a short time frame
• I do think thatWyatt forgave Neil too quickly/easily but it fits for YA
• Overall 5 stars because 1. it's well written and 2. it feels like it was plucked directly from my brain

A fun, quick read but was by no means an easy one, although that's not necessarily a bad thing. The prose was beautiful and at times above my reading level but made for a compelling narrative. This book was too short in character development for my personal tastes but at the same time it would not have worked had it been any longer. Overall an incredibly enjoyable read and a bonus .25 stars for the open endedness of the ending

The story was entertaining but some parts felt a little lackluster. The only reason I give it a 3.25 and not a 3 is because I loved the ending but the rest of the book felt underdeveloped. The relationship wasn't fleshed out enough for my taste and we never found out how Dylan caught his powers which was frustrating. Overall it was a quick and easy read but not one I'd reread or write home about.

I so so badly want to give this book five stars, but as much as I loved it it had a few flaws. From the beginning of part 4 until the end it felt like I couldn't catch my breath; which if you're here more for the sci-fi than the romance, then maybe that's a positive, but I prefer a more equal blend of the two. For that reason only I docked half a star. However, the rest of the story was incredible. The beginning was a tad slow but once I got into the waters of Ocean's Echo I was hooked. The world building expanded on what we learned from Winter's Orbit which is what you want in a sequel (technically it's a stand-alone but the lore might be a tad confusing without reading WO). And maybe it's just me but I'm a sucker for a fucked up character falling in love with the straight as an arrow character. Overall 4.5⭐ for a fast-paced, edge of your seat action romance set in space.

Do not let the slow intro deter you from reading this book; once I got into the meat of it I couldn't put it down. The pacing was excellent and the combination of romance and the tense political sci-fi plot was perfect (and that's coming from someone who doesn't typically like any sort of politics in a plot). Winter's Orbit had some minor flaws but overall it's become one of my new favorites.
