If I can put a gif here it would be any kind of swoon one there is. You should really go into this book blind. If you have triggers please check them. This book is gore and romantic and just so damn sexy at the same time. As soon as I finished this masterpiece I was wished I could read it again for the first time. I read this on my kindle and immediately went looking for a physical copy for my shelf.

Obsession. Is the only world that I could come up with. If I could wear all the words of this book on my skin I would. I have never highlighted so much in my life. I just want to swim in this., breathe this in forever.

Excuse me while I go purchase every Shiloh Sloane Book.

If you have read the other books in this series, getting to dive into Deacon’s story could not come fast enough.
Deacon Ryder is a very complicated man, so when he catches the fern green in his periphery, he cannot imagine not having the woman that ribbon is connected to. So what does he do? Like any true gentleman of course he manipulates his way into her life, and maybe some light kidnapping.
Freya Hatfield lives a life of quiet confinement. Her home is not a place that she fells like she can be herself. She lives with her head down and walks on egg shells constantly. She dreams of being free as the stars. So when a handsome rough looking cowboy comes around it’s hard for her to trust his intentions.
Deacon must prove to Freya he can keep her safe and like always ā€œAll roads lead to Sovereign Mountain.ā€

If you haven’t jumped into this the Sovereign Mountain Series yet. Place these at the top of your TBR. What’s not to love, Cowboys, BD$M, SPICE 🄵, and action.

Everybody loves a retelling. This Gatsby retelling was beautiful. Tylor Paige writing is everything in this. Could I put this down. Nope. I found myself not wanting to put this down. I needed to know everyone’s secret. Every time I discovered something I couldn’t believe it and just needed more. I was constantly telling myself one more chapter. Gatsby and Daisy story made me feel so many emotions. Gatsby love and devotion to Daisy is what every girl dreams of. So if you believe in the green light and love a twisty retelling then immediately slide this to the top of your TBR.

SJ Tilly never disappoints. Her books always makes me feel all the fuzzy feels.  I always love reading SJ Tilly. I was hooked since The Alliance Series. The way she writes her MMC. They are just 🤤 (drool). So when I found out she was writing an age-gap, boss/employee, and the MMC is a flannel wearing, nicely muscled man that cuts wood in the winter with his shirt off. Yes please!

Courtney moves across country with everything she owns to have a new start. I feel like everyone can see a little piece of themselves in her.
Sterling… šŸŖ“šŸ»šŸ§”šŸ» just Sterling. That is all. He’s perfect. šŸ˜
I love going into her books with few details because they always are a treat to read and I love and always make me laugh and have these awwww moments.

So if you love touch her and I’ll hurt you vibes or possessive, cute names, can’t stand to be away from you vibes then this is a read for you.

Agustina’s Bazterrica’s novels always make you think. They also open your eyes to the fact that these novels are probably not far from becoming reality. By the way the world is going it is not a far stretch of the imagination to think that this could one day be reality. So when the world is rotting and you find yourself inside a mysterious convent clinging to the salvation they offer. It’s easy to see how lost one can get when you have been starving and thirsty when they offer you refuge. Also how blind and submissive you are when they provide ā€œsafetyā€.

ā€œWithout faith, there is no refuge.ā€

I think Miranda ripped out my heart and stomped on it. Now it wouldn’t be a Shadow book if all these characters didn’t go to hell and back. So many emotions, so much trauma, and the most unhinged and unexpected things happens to these two. I absolutely love Varius and Micha since Tethered Souls. I thought Broken Souls ripped me apart. Nope not at all. This one right here was the biggest roller coaster and just when I thought the drop was over the roller coaster dropped like 50 more feet. Varius might be the ruthless boss of the Shadow boss but seeing how he cares and is so patient with Micha makes the some of these scenes that much more heartbreaking.

If you don’t mind pitch black. And I mean pitch black then check Miranda’s Book of Shadows series out.

Ok first and foremost the way Ivy Asher writes her FMCs they are truly badass, no damsel in distress types here. So when I got introduced to Ever in this book she was strong and independent and has a mind all on her own. All Ever wants to do is make herself and her people whole, to uncage apart of themselves that has been cursed and forced to lay dormant for years.
Then she meets Aeson and as infuriating as he makes her there is just something about this dragon shifter that she cannot seem to put her finger on.
Fire daddy I think is a new kink. Also the nicknames are hilarious in this book.

This story is beautifully written and keeps you wanting more. It has an extreme amount of tension, its action packed and so many times did I tell myself just one more chapter. This is the perfect found/forced family story. Trust issues galore and watching them navigate and try to anticipate each other’s intentions is so entertaining. If you are an urban romantasy girlie this is a must read!

Pam Godwin never disappoints. I will always recommend her. I can always devour her books in one sitting.
I got all masked-man out so I traded in the mask for a man with a collar.
Father Magnus Falke is the definition of the sound ā€œI want to f*€k a priestā€. Mean, demanding, and confidence exudes from him.  His battle within himself to stay true with his vow, the way Pam writes it just makes all the angst that much more delicious 🤤.
Tinsley Constantine is smart and quick witted. She also has a vow. To bring Hell to Father Magnus. With her antics and Hell bent desire to leave his all girl school will make you laugh out loud. All Tinsley wants is her freedom and she’s willing to just about anything to get it.

Axe is as red as any read flag can come along with blinking hazards lights and probably a siren going off in the back ground. With his reputation in the Sovereign, he does what he wants when he wants. What’s not to love right?
Rory was born and bred to be a Sovereign Servant but she craves freedom and her own independence. So what do you get when a controlling asshole tries to force a stubborn woman into submission? Explosive 🧨 tension.
This story ends on a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see how this plays out.
