This book almost became a DNF for me due to my intense hatred for the main character. However, it was daring of the author to portray the protagonist so negatively, creating an intriguing dynamic.

Unfortunately, the story dragged on due to excessive background information, making it tiresome while the ending felt too rushed compared to the slow buildup. Overall, I did appreciate the fast pace towards the ending because that's when things got interesting.
Additionally, there were many American terms and abbreviations that were confusing for European readers, and some elements felt repetitive.

Even though it wasn't my typical read, I found it surprisingly thought-provoking. It delves into the pressures of the publishing industry, the pervasive influence of social media, and the toll it takes on mental health.
