I'm bawling I love them all so much. 
However I did miss Elspeth this book and the interactions Elm had with the Yews and her. The ending also felt a little rushed but I'll always hold this story and its characters very dear to my heart.

An absolutely beautiful duology that I just don't think was 100% for me. 
P.S. Doesn't mean I wasn't absolutely bawling by the end of it. 

Forest dying at the end of the book when the whole story started with Iris traveling to the front bc she wanted to find out if he was alive is honestly just cruel.

I really wanted to love this as much as everyone else did especially since the author's other duology is one of my favorites but I just didn't.
The writing is so beautiful but unfortunately I couldn't really connect to the story nor the characters so that ending didn't leave me as devasted as it could have.
