If Mark Towse is not on your radar yet, now is the perfect time to check out his work!

I just wrapped up Chasing the Dragon today, and I just can’t say enough how much fun this book is. You can tell when an author genuinely had a blast writing a novel, I’m sure Mark was laughing the whole way through.

It has a great amount of suspense, some truly shocking twists and turns, and a loveable character to follow throughout. Our main character has a lot of heart, a lot of trauma, and a personality to keep you rooting for him the whole way through.

It’s fast paced, engaging and well written. Mark has a lot of writing under his belt already but this is his debut novel, and it’s a grand slam. Look at the Goodreads reviews, they speak for themselves. With a March release soon coming, it’s definitely time to pop this bad boy on your TBR

Welcome to the Club!

Once again, the Blood Bound Books team curated an all star collection of short stories. This collection is full of horror, depravity, vileness and just overall killed it with the extreme horror themes!

I enjoyed each and every one of the stories in this collection, there were a few stand outs I’d like to mention.

The opening story, A Grieving Process by Chase Will absolutely starts this collection off on the right foot. It’s bizarre, it’s gory and it was just the right amount of disturbing.

Lady Torment by Jay Wilburn was another wild ride into depravity, facing grief head on with a disturbing and macabre lens. This one definitely pushed the comfort boundaries- a right success in extreme horror.

You’re Mine Now by Rachel Nussbaum was also fantastic, a strange and kind of heartwarming story of a man possessed.

The Chiropractor by Aaron Thomas Milstead, so bizarre, hilarious and vile!! I highly recommend Earworm from him as well. What an imagination he has, so strange but so fascinating and entertaining.

Honestly, the whole collection absolutely rocked and I could give praise for every single read in here. I think if you are a fan of horror, bizarro, or splatterpunk you should come on over, join the club and enjoy this masterpiece of a collection!

n amazing collection of well developed and interesting short stories? With a gorgeous undead librarian as my guide? Sign me up!!

I absolutely loved each and every one of these stories in this collection. I found them to be super unique, so well written and of course terrifying! It starts off with a bang, The Letter by Lydia Prime is a gory, horrific tale with a surprising and hilarious twist. The second story, The Ecstasy of Gold by Jill Girardi, hits us with a twisted, brutal tale of a killer…. Well, you should really just read it and see!!

It’s very rare to have a collection that hits every tale, but I honestly cannot find fault in any of these stories. I also want to mention a couple others I REALLY loved: The Garbage People, The Roiling and Little Pig.

Amazing job Lydia and Jill for putting together a fantastic collection. Also huge kudos to the artist who did your cover work as well. I’m super thankful for the ARC opportunity, and I happily leave my voluntary review!
