This book was incredible, but I had to remove half a star because this kind of gave off misogynistic undertones. every female character is sexualized in one way or another, and it affected my reading experience. Very curious how many times the words "penis" or "breasts" were mentioned. But besides that, I love this novel. What I've heard about Murakami before reading this was completely true- he captures the human experience so well. great novel, and I already feel like rereading it lol

OMGRJEJJEWK THIS WAS SO GOOD !! i genuinely felt so pissed for anna, this book is so gripping. although the twist was pretty predictable, i still really enjoyed it ! when i realized ethan was grandma lizzie i smacked my forehead
