This was such an enjoyable play I'd love to see it live! This is also the first play I've willingly picked up and read without it being a school assignment.

If only, if only...

I really only came back to read this because of my sister and for that one rogue post reminding me to never forget the badass sideline plot of the woman who became Kissin' Kate Barlow, feared outlaw of the West. I'm here for good girls gone bad really.

This book does such a wonderful job providing the humanity and thought process behind a real person. While it's not an actual biography of Artemisia Gentileschi, it's even better because it heightens her desire for invenzione that I particularly enjoyed. Her life felt so real to me and her artwork definitely reflect real experiences. If you haven't heard of her, you really should get to know who she is.
I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara

Michelle McNamara has, as her friends and co-authors describe, the unique ability of protecting the victims privacy and trauma while still exposing the Golden State Killer's horrendous crimes. She has managed to piece timelines and evidence together in a way that creates a coherent tale reflecting her desire to seek justice for everyone harmed by this horrible human. I recommend giving this a read if you aren't a true crime fan and want to dip a foot into this genre or even if your just a curious individual with literary tastes that touch upon every genre.
