Faerie Tale by Raymond E. Feist
3.0
You can tell this was written by a man in the 1980's. It is very much a product of it's time - this is particularly evident in Feist's treatment of his female characters. It was a slow burner but I felt the ending was a little rushed by comparison to the build up. I haven't read much dark fantasy/horror, nor have I read anything by Feist before, but I was expecting a much scarier story. I don't think I'd be overly inclined to read anything else by this author.
Who Fears Death by Nnedi Okorafor

I listened to this as an audio book. The story was beautifully read, the narrator really brought the story to life. This story made me laugh, ugly cry and has stayed with me a long time after.
The Library Suicides by Fflur Dafydd
5.0
Really enjoyed this book, I thought it was well paced with plenty of twist and turns. The prose was beautifully written and flowed easily. I agree with other reviews that say that the characters weren't particularly likeable but that didn't put me off, I thought they were nicely developed with plenty of backstory. This story (I think) was originally a screenplay written for a Welsh film made in 2016 - definitely will be checking out the film too. This was my first book to read by Fflur Dafydd and I was not disappointed!
