Would have been a 5 but the ending felt flat.

A Strong Sequel with Rich Worldbuilding

Sunbringer builds on Godkiller with deeper character arcs, high stakes, and immersive prose. Kaner expands the world beautifully, weaving gods and mortals into a compelling struggle. While the pacing slows at times, the emotional depth and sharp dialogue make up for it. A solid follow-up that sets the stage for more.

This is one of my favourite films and I never realised it was based off a book. For once the film actually stayed almost identical to the book and because I knew what was coming it felt a little flat. Still a great read and would definitely recommend it to others.

The writing bored me which is odd because the supernatural really intrigues me but it’s also my home town. Just felt like the same phrases were used too often. I wasn’t excited by the language used.
