I’d already pre-ordered the sequel by the time I’d read only a few chapters which must say something.
The last 2 chapters even had me crying.

I picked this book up on a whim purely because I liked the cover. I’m so glad that I did. I thought it was going one way but then it went a totally different way. A really creepy read full of amazing details, at some points I felt like I was there. I even cried a few times towards the end.
I’ll definitely be reading more of her books.

There were elements of this book that I really loved. However because it’s all in first person prose and only in the one POV it felt a little flat for me. Towards the end of the book the pacing did increase a bit but for the majority of it, it felt quite slow.
