4.5

Kristin Hannah’s ability to transport you back in time during notable events in history is truly remarkable. While I’ve read other WWII historical fiction novels, this unique perspective of two sisters facing the atrocities of 1940s war-torn France was incredibly powerful.

WOW. What an incredible collection of short stories. I felt such a wide range of emotions while reading this. Adjei-Brenyah’s writing style is absolutely unmatched. From racism, to consumerism, to violence, to everything in between - this book is a constant reminder of all the work we still have to do for a better future.
