i think this is my first five star that i mean wholeheartedly, that will never be questioned, and never be changed.
this book, from start to finish, has been amazing. i don't think i can describe it in words. every part lead to another, it was written in a way that i love, and i sobbed. i find myself in charlie, especially with sams speech to him. and the fact that those names might not be their real ones makes it feel more real in the best way.
id write a whole essay on how this book impacted me. maybe i will.

wow.
doomed love. it was doomed love and it hurt because i knew it would never work out but i was hoping so hard that it would.
every character portrayed was realistic. their shortcomings, everything, made sense. having a non youth book in the mix was very refreshing.
my heart hurts. it longs for love as strong as patrick's for tom. his policeman.
i don't know what else to say. it took me a bit. kept pausing and not continuing. slow at bits but i think it was better that way. i hated marion's point of view but i have come to realize why i shouldn't, and why i really don't anymore.
the struggles of being not what you are supposed to be.
patrick owns my heart, and a special place is in there for julia as well.

it wasn't better than the first book, but it was pretty damn good. took me a while, wasn't as big of a page turner, i just wasn't as interested. WARNER FOR LIFE <3333
